Uploading Videos

In order to upload a video you will first have to register. Registration is free and we never contact you with 3rd party offers or annoying emails. Your information is never shared with 3rd parties. Once you have done that you can click on the "Upload" tab and you will be directed to the upload service. You must fill in a video title, short description and video tags separated by a comma. You will also be required to choose from a list of categories. Up to 4 categories can be checked. The more tags you fill in the easier it can be to find your video using the search option so choose them wisely and often! Depending on the video size and format, uploads can take various amounts of time. Once uploaded you will receive a message that uploading is complete. After that you will see the message "processing" and the "successful" when completed. Smaller videos in the flv or mp4 format take less time to upload and process.

Embedding a Video

Click the EMBED button below the YouTube video you want to embed to this site. Then you will see a box with iFrame code. Copy this code. Then click on the upload arrow on MedicVideoTube and choose the Embed tab. Paste the code in the box and fill out all the other information. You will need to upload a thumbnail image. Right click on the thumbnail image for the youtube (or any other site) video you are embedding, save the file to your computer, and then choose that file as the thumbnail.

MedicVideoTube accepts most every video format for upload. All videos are then automatically converted into flv and mp4 formats. Using one of the free video converters available online to create flv or mp4 videos prior to upload can save you some time and load on our server.
